Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays. We’ve been busy with our little girl, big girl and big boy this year so we’ve been slack at writing. Hope to post an update tomorrow.

Halloween 2009…
We actually had lots of compliments on the house this year by kid and parent alike. Not bad for only a half days worth of decorating lol. Please enjoy the following shots of Kahlan’s first Halloween! Oh and the skulls were strobe lights! 39 kids and counting..

Kahlan Addyson MacTavish…
Today at 11:42am Julie and I became the proud parents to one healthy little girl. No email to her today but we will continue later on when we get rested up including yesterdays account. She weighs in at 7 pounds 2 ounces and in my typical tradition she has a few shots of her already. As soon as my camera is charged and we get mommy and baby together in the same room I’ll get some more artsy ones and post them when we have internet access.
Mommy and daddy are doing well but both are very tired. Julie is doing much better than their best predictions so that shows us just how lucky we are. Lol it will be my time for surgery here soon though ugh.
It is quite different being on this side of the lense for once so please excuse my lack of pictures posted. Mommy and baby come first. Should have some up by tomorrow.
Thanks to Angie and Jeff for coming all the way from Saint John to see her and i’m sure they will beat me to the picture punch. Of course I forgot my video camera but I was a little too busy anyways.
A special thanks to Julies parents and Joni for making the trip too with Hailee and Mackenzie.
I also want to thank my aunt Eva for coming up this week to watch the new big brother and sister while I was out of province.
Time to get back to mommy.

Hi Princess,
Mommy hasn’t had internet and daddy has been busy lately so we haven’t been able to email but I wanted to update you now.
I arrived in Halifax late Friday night and your brother Bret and sister Hailey stayed home. Mommy was very happy to see me but I think I was happier to see her.
Dear Kahlan,
I woke up this morning and must having been missing your daddy since I had felt his hand on my back and him whispering possibly to you in my tummy that he couldn’t wait for me to wake up so he could surprise me. If he wasn’t talking to you he was taking to himself which he tends to do once in awhile. When I woke up I was looking for him and he wasn’t their I realized that I must have dreamt the whole thing. You were kicking mommies tummy so you must have been missing daddy too since it was around the time that you normally wake up, and your kicking, so I roll around and hug your dad so you can kick him for awhile. I was a little sad when I realized that it was only a dream but your dad will be here on Friday night for the weekend.

Good Morning Princess,
It’s another beautiful day here in Saint John and the leaves on the
tree outside your window are just about ready to come out and play
for summer. mommy and I spent most of last night on the phone
together and I’ve been trying to cheer her up because the weekend is
almost here.
